Transcribe Microsoft Teams Phone recordings calls out of OneDrive and into text.
A Microsoft Teams Phone recording transcribes once you download it from OneDrive or SharePoint, where your admin allows recordings to be saved, and upload it here, at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so a 90-minute call is text in about 3 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and 22 calls of 20 minutes (440 minutes) fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
From OneDrive to text
Teams saved the call. The recording is in a folder you rarely open.
Find it, then download it
Where call recording is allowed, a recorded Teams call is normally saved to the OneDrive of the person who started recording, often in a Recordings folder, and channel content can land in SharePoint. The file is usually an MP4. Open it in OneDrive or SharePoint and use Download; an expired or restricted recording needs your admin.
Links that work, links that do not
WhipScribe does not fetch OneDrive or SharePoint links. Download the MP4 and upload it, or move the recordings into a Google Drive folder and paste that folder's share link. An MP4 under 2 GB uploads before you buy anything; a Teams call is usually far smaller.
Calls, priced by the quarter
Twenty-two calls of 20 minutes are 440 minutes, inside the $6 pack of 500. A team recording 30 such calls a month uses 600 minutes, and a full quarter of 1,800 minutes still fits the $12 pack of 2,000 with 200 left. Credit never expires between quarters.
What comes back from a call
A brief with the purpose of the call and the takeaways, chapters with timestamps, and the names, figures and dates both sides said. The summary and key quotes name each speaker on the call. Upload on upload page, then ask the chat what the customer agreed to and when.
Saved, then forgotten
The recording expires before anyone has written down what the call decided.

FAQ
Teams Phone recordings, answered.
Does WhipScribe plug into Microsoft Teams?
No. There is no Teams app, no connector to Microsoft 365 and no bot that joins a call. You download the recording you have access to and upload it here, after the call is over.
Why can't I paste the OneDrive link?
OneDrive and SharePoint links are not among the sources WhipScribe fetches. Links that do work are YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Kick, Google Drive share links and folders, and podcast feeds, so a Drive folder is a good place to collect a batch.
How long and how much for a long call?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio: a 90-minute call in roughly 3 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free; a longer call is previewed, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes finishes it with plenty left for the next ones.
Our team records every week. Is there a plan for that?
Packs suit most teams: a 600-minute month sits on the $12 pack of 2,000. A team that records calls every week and wants a shared space can use the $19/month Workspace instead.
Does recording the call need consent?
Recording a call needs whatever consent the law where you and the other party are requires, and Teams may also announce the recording. WhipScribe has no part in the call itself and only transcribes the file afterwards.
What about other languages and privacy?
99 languages are recognised automatically, and a call that switches language is read on its main one. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training; exports are TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON.
