Transcribe long Vidyard recordings demos, walkthroughs and talks.
A long Vidyard recording, such as a 60-minute sales demo or a recorded presentation, is transcribed from the video you download from your Vidyard library, and an hour is text in about 2 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers eight one-hour demos with 20 minutes to spare.
From a Vidyard video to notes
The demo was recorded for a reason. The text makes it usable after the call.
Getting the file out of Vidyard
Owners can usually download a video from its page in the Vidyard library, and the file is usually an MP4. If the download option is missing, your account settings or an admin may control it.
Demos that run long
A discovery call that turns into a full product walkthrough easily reaches an hour, and a recorded quarterly presentation can run two. A month of 25 one-hour demos is 1,500 minutes, on the $12 pack of 2,000 with 500 left.
What the buyer asked
The questions the recording answers come back as a list, beside the names, numbers and dates said: pricing questions, timelines, the tools a prospect already uses. The prospect and the presenter are named in the summary, quotes and chapters; copy the brief into your CRM by hand, as there is no CRM integration.
Recorded presentations
Vidyard also holds long recorded talks and internal updates. Each comes back with a brief, timestamped chapters and a chat over the transcript, so a colleague can ask what was decided without watching the hour.
Why recorded demos go unused
The prospect asked six good questions. Nobody wrote them down.
✗ A link in an email
The demo is watched once, maybe, and its details live in someone's memory.
- Follow-up emails written from memory
- Pricing questions missed in the notes
- Managers watching demos at double speed
- New reps with no searchable examples
- Objections that never reach the product team
- Presentations nobody rewatches
✓ A demo you can read in two minutes
The recording comes back with a brief, the buyer's questions and chapters.
- Each hour of video in about 2 minutes
- First 20 minutes free on one demo
- Every question the buyer asked, listed
- Prospect named in the summary and quotes
- Eight one-hour demos on the $6 pack
- DOCX for the deal notes

FAQ
Vidyard recordings, the common questions.
How long does a one-hour Vidyard demo take?
About 2 minutes, since processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A two-hour presentation takes about 4.
What does a month of demos cost?
Eight one-hour demos are 480 minutes on the $6 pack of 500. Twenty-five of them are 1,500 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000, and a team doing more than about 33 a month needs the $24 pack of 5,000. A sales team recording every week may prefer the $19/month Workspace.
Is there a Vidyard integration or a bot that joins calls?
No. Nothing connects to your Vidyard account and no bot joins a live call; this works on the recording afterwards. Download the video and upload it here. Transcribe only recordings your team has the right to use.
How large is a long recording, and does it need splitting?
A one-hour screen recording at 2 Mbps is about 900 MB (2,000,000 × 3,600 seconds ÷ 8), under the 2 GB that uploads before a pack. One file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so splitting only applies to recordings longer than 10 hours.
Do demos in other languages work?
Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, Portuguese, Spanish and Japanese among them. A demo that switches language is detected on its main language and the switches are handled.
What exports are there, and is customer audio private?
The exports: TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Demos with customers on them are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
