Services, conferences, events · MP4 from vMix or a link · about 2 min per audio hour

Transcribe a long vMix recording from the production you already ran.

A long vMix recording is transcribed by uploading the file vMix wrote to disk, up to 10 hours or 5 GB, or by pasting the YouTube or Vimeo link if the production was streamed there. A 2.5-hour church service comes back in about 5 minutes, with the first 20 minutes free and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covering three services.

Packs from $6, credits never expire · then from $0.36/hour · Credits never expire · Never used to train AI

For production teams

The vMix operator already captured the whole programme. The text is the part the rest of the team can use.

Use the recording vMix made

vMix records to the folder and format chosen in its recording settings, often MP4. Copy that file off the production machine and drop it on the upload page, or paste the stream link once the service or event is published.

The teaching, not the worship set

Songs, instrumental bridges and applause are not transcribed. The sermon, the readings said aloud, the announcements and the prayers spoken in plain speech are.

A programme in chapters

Welcome, readings, sermon, response, notices: chapters follow the running order with timestamps, so a volunteer can link straight to the message on the website.

Everything said, findable

The scripture references, dates and event names spoken from the stage are listed with timestamps, and the chat answers questions such as when the building fund was mentioned.

After the stream

A production of several hours is archived every week, and almost none of it is ever found again.

✗ The archive as video only

Recordings pile up on the production drive and the website gets a video embed with no text.

  • Sermon notes typed from the replay
  • No way to search past services for a topic
  • Multi-gigabyte files filling the drive
  • The OpenAI Whisper API rejects anything over 25 MB
  • Volunteers rewatching to find a quote
  • Captions left to a platform's automatic text

✓ The archive with text

Each production becomes a searchable record with its structure marked. The volunteer who used to write sermon notes from the replay now edits a draft instead.

  • About 5 minutes for a 2.5-hour service
  • Preacher and readers named in summary and chapters
  • Scripture and dates listed with times
  • DOCX for a printed sermon summary
  • SRT and VTT for the published video
  • A quarter of services on one $12 pack

FAQ

vMix recordings, answered.

How long does a 2.5-hour service take?

Around 5 minutes, because each hour of audio takes roughly 2 minutes to process. An 8-hour conference day is around 16 minutes.

What does three months of services cost?

Your first visit includes the first 20 minutes free, and a longer recording is previewed before a pack does the rest. A 2.5-hour service is 150 minutes, so three fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Thirteen weekly services are 1,950 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A team that records every week can also use the $19/month Workspace.

Our vMix files are huge. How large can one be?

A single vMix file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB. At 12 Mbps an hour is 12 x 3,600 = 43,200 megabits, 5.4 GB, already past the limit. Paste the stream link instead, or convert the recording to MP3 first; at 128 kbps a 2.5-hour service is about 144 MB. A file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account, so a first upload is best kept under that.

We ran a two-day event. Do we split it?

Only where a file passes 10 hours. Each day usually goes up as its own recording, and each comes back with its own chapters.

Our services are bilingual. Will that work?

Yes. The main language is detected automatically among 99, and a service that moves between, say, English and Spanish is read on its main language with the switches handled. Hymns and sung responses are left out in either language.

Which exports are there, and who can hear the service?

Productions export as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. There is no vMix integration or plugin; WhipScribe reads the file or link after the production.
