Transcribe a long Winscribe recording and clear the typing pool's longest jobs.
To transcribe a long Winscribe recording, export the audio from Winscribe, or ask the system administrator for a WAV or MP3 copy, and upload it here; a six-hour day of dictation or a recorded teaching session is ready in about 12 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and six hours is 360 minutes, which the $6 pack of 500 covers with 140 to spare.

Getting audio out of Winscribe
Winscribe is usually run centrally by an IT or records team, and whether an author can save a dictation as an ordinary audio file depends on how they set it up. Check the export settings first; if the option is not there, the administrator can usually supply a copy. If the upload refuses the result, convert it to MP3 first.
Firms and hospitals
Law and professional firms use it for long letters, reports and file notes. In a hospital, this page is about lectures, teaching sessions, committee notes and administrative dictation, and WhipScribe is not a medical device. There is no Winscribe integration either: you send one exported file, nothing more.
Hours in a single file
A day of dictation or a recorded half-day training block fits one file of up to 10 hours or 5 GB. Upload it in the box above, or through the upload page if it is large; before your first pack, files up to 2 GB are accepted.
What the typist receives
Instead of a blank page, the typist opens a draft with a brief of the main points, timestamped chapters and every name, figure and date that was spoken. The DOCX export drops into the usual template, and the chat answers questions such as which review date was given.

FAQ
Winscribe recordings, the common questions.
How long does a six-hour Winscribe recording take?
About 12 minutes, since processing takes roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. The longest public run on the proof page is 9.31 hours in 1,033 seconds.
What do six hours, or a month of recordings, cost?
Six hours is 360 minutes on the $6 pack of 500. Forty hours a month is 2,400 minutes, past the $12 pack's 2,000, so the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes is the right size. For a team recording every week there is also a $19/month Workspace.
Which file should I export?
A standard audio file such as WAV or MP3, if your Winscribe set-up offers one. If it gives you something else and the upload refuses it, convert it to MP3 first.
What are the size limits?
10 hours or 5 GB per file, whichever comes first, and 2 GB before a pack is on the account. A Winscribe recording longer than 10 hours is split into two files at a break.
Which languages can a Winscribe recording be in?
99, detected automatically, so a dictation in Afrikaans, Swedish or Portuguese needs no setting. A session that mixes languages is detected on its main language.
What are the exports, and is it private?
Drafts come out as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Winscribe exports are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
