Yamaha AG06 · file or link · about 2 min per hour

Transcribe long podcasts and streams run through a Yamaha AG06 from the computer recording or the published link.

A 160-minute podcast or stream mixed on a Yamaha AG06 is transcribed in a little over 5 minutes when you upload the recorded file or paste its RSS, YouTube, Twitch or Kick link, at up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor, and three such recordings, 480 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes.

A small mixer, a long show

The AG06 sits between your microphones and the computer. The recording itself is whatever your software saved.

Where the file comes from

The AG06 is a mixer and USB interface rather than a recorder, so the file lives in the app you recorded with: a DAW, Audacity, OBS or a streaming tool. Export the finished show to one WAV, MP3 or M4A, or upload the MP4 that OBS wrote if it is under 5 GB.

Loopback and what ends up in the mix

With loopback on, the computer's playback, such as a remote guest or background music, is mixed into the recording. That is useful for a call-in guest, whose voice then lands in the transcript too; music played into the mix is not transcribed, only the speech.

How big 160 minutes gets

A 24-bit, 48 kHz stereo WAV is about 1.04 GB an hour, so 160 minutes comes to roughly 2.8 GB and starts once a pack is on the account. As a 128 kbps MP3 it is about 154 MB and fits the box here, which takes files up to 500 MB; bigger exports carry on at upload page.

What returns

A brief with thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, the names, numbers and dates said, and the questions the show answered. Hosts and guests are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters. If a remote guest joined by call, recording the call needs the consent the law where you are requires.

Long shows without a transcript

A home studio built around an AG06 produces hours of talk every week, and almost none of it gets written down.

✗ The usual week

Recorded, published, never written down.

  • Show notes skipped for lack of time
  • Long WAVs too big for upload forms
  • Guest quotes copied by ear
  • Back episodes never searchable
  • Captions only on short clips
  • Per-minute bills for each episode

✓ With the recording sent here

Every show turned into text.

  • One file up to 10 hours or 5 GB
  • A little over 5 minutes for 160 minutes
  • RSS, YouTube, Twitch and Kick links
  • Chapters for the episode page
  • Key quotes with hosts named

FAQ

Yamaha AG06 recordings, answered.

How long does a 160-minute recording take?

A little over 5 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. The proof page shows 9.31 hours finished in 1,033 seconds.

What does a season cost?

Three 160-minute shows come to 480 minutes and fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 20 left. Eleven of them, 1,760 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 240 to spare.

Can I upload the OBS file of a streamed show?

Yes, if it is 5 GB or smaller, and 2 GB or smaller before your first pack. If the stream is on Twitch, Kick or YouTube, pasting the VOD link is easier; stream recordings over 6 hours start once a pack is on the account.

What if a marathon show runs over 10 hours?

Export it as two files at a break and upload both. Each file up to 10 hours or 5 GB is transcribed in one pass.

Can callers speak another language?

99 languages are detected automatically. A show that switches between languages is transcribed on its main language.

Is there a Yamaha integration, and is the show private?

No integration with Yamaha or its software; you upload a file or paste a link. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
