Transcribe long screen recordings from Zight walkthroughs, demos and recorded training.
Download the recording from Zight (formerly CloudApp), usually as an MP4, and upload it here; a 90-minute walkthrough is transcribed in about 3 minutes. A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free, and the recording uses 90 minutes of the $6 pack of 500, leaving 410.
From a share link to a document
A long screen recording explains everything once. A transcript lets people find the step they need.
Download first, the link will not do
A Zight share link opens a viewer page, which WhipScribe cannot fetch. Open the item in your Zight account, or on the share page if the owner allowed downloads, and save the video file, usually an MP4. Then drop it here. If a teammate made the recording, ask them for the file or for download permission on the share; the transcript only needs the audio track inside the video.
Small files, long talks
Screen recordings compress well because most of the picture stays still, so a 90-minute walkthrough is often a few hundred megabytes, though resolution and motion change that a lot. Files up to 500 MB go in the box here; larger ones up to 5 GB go through the upload page.
A library of recordings
Forty recordings averaging 45 minutes come to 1,800 minutes, which the $12 pack of 2,000 covers with 200 left. A smaller set of five 90-minute demos is 450 minutes, inside the $6 pack.
Turn a video into a guide
Each recording returns a timestamped transcript, chapters that mark each step or feature, a brief with takeaways, and the questions the walkthrough answers. Paste a chapter into your help doc, or export SRT and VTT to caption the video. Presenters are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, which helps when two people walk through the product together.
Links people never finish
The walkthrough is ninety minutes long, and the new hire only needs the four minutes about permissions.

FAQ
Zight recordings, answered.
How long does a 90-minute Zight recording take?
About 3 minutes after upload, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A two-hour training session takes about 4.
Can I paste the Zight share link?
No. Links work for YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Kick, Google Drive and podcast feeds. A Zight link opens a viewer page, so download the video first and upload the file.
What will a training library cost?
Recordings of 20 minutes or less transcribe in full free on a first visit; longer ones are previewed, and a pack from $6 completes them. Forty 45-minute recordings fit the $12 pack of 2,000. Credits never expire.
Is there a Zight integration?
No. WhipScribe has no integration, extension or bot inside Zight. It works only on the file you download and upload.
What if a recording has no speech for long stretches?
Silent sections simply produce no text, and the timestamps still line up with the video, so a pause while someone clicks through settings costs nothing to read. Only the speech is transcribed, not on-screen text or music.
Where are recordings processed?
Your recordings are transcribed on our own servers and never become training data. Exports are TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, and a walkthrough in any of 99 languages is detected without a setting.
