Transcribe a Polish church service in Sweden and keep the homily for the whole community.
A one-hour Polish-language Mass recorded in Sweden is transcribed in about 2 minutes, with Polish detected automatically and the hymns left out. The first 20 minutes are free, and eight Sunday Masses of an hour, 480 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
For the volunteer who streams the Mass
Polish families in Sweden are spread across many towns. The homily in text reaches the ones who could not make the drive.
The homily, summarised
The brief states the homily's main thought and its takeaways, useful for the bulletin or a message to the community group.
Readings and notices found fast
Each reading and every passage named is listed with a timestamp, and the parish notices, with their dates and times, are in the text.
Polish captions on the replay
Download SRT or VTT to caption the recorded Mass for viewers with the sound off; sung parts carry no captions because music is not transcribed.
A season of Masses at once
Paste a YouTube channel video or a Google Drive folder of earlier Masses, or send a long camera file through the upload page.
Why the homily fades
Streamed on Sunday, seen once, forgotten by the next feast day.
✗ Video only
The Mass goes online without text, and anyone wanting a line from the homily has to scroll through an hour of video.
- Nothing to print for older parishioners
- Notices that only exist in the stream
- A volunteer typing Polish by hand
- Tools that expect Swedish or English
- No captions on the replay
- Earlier homilies impossible to search
✓ The Mass as text
Upload after Mass and the Polish text is ready by the time the hall is tidied.
- The homily in full Polish
- The celebrant named in the summary
- Chapters from the entrance to the dismissal
- Readings and parish notices collected
- SRT and VTT for the stream
- DOCX for the bulletin

Illustrative lines written for this page, not from a real parish or priest. In English: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; the words of the Gospel according to Saint Mark; dear brothers and sisters, today's Gospel speaks about trust; next Sunday after Mass we invite you to a meeting in the parish hall.

FAQ
Polish Masses in Sweden, answered.
How long does a one-hour Mass take to transcribe?
About 2 minutes. A 90-minute Christmas or Easter liturgy takes close to 3, at the usual pace of about 2 minutes per hour of audio. A Saturday evening Mass and the Sunday one go up as two files, and each gets its own chapters and brief.
What happens to the singing?
Hymns, sung responses and the organ are not transcribed; speech is. The readings, the homily, the spoken prayers and the notices come through as text.
What does a quarter or a year of Masses cost?
Eight one-hour Masses, 480 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Thirteen, a quarter of Sundays at 780 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, and a year of fifty-two, 3,120 minutes, fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. For a community that records every week, a $19/month Workspace also exists.
Some Masses are partly in Swedish. Is that handled?
The recording is detected on its main language, Polish for most of these Masses, and English words in the speech are handled. A Swedish section long enough to matter can be uploaded as its own file.
Will a full camera recording upload?
One file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and up to 2 GB before a first pack. A one-hour Mass video at 4 Mbps is about 1.8 GB, and a YouTube link needs no upload.
Which files do we get, and is it private?
The parish receives TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, so intentions read aloud stay within the community.
