Sunday Mass · homilies · retreats · parish announcements

Transcribe a Polish church service and keep the homily for the parish all week.

A 75-minute Polish-language Mass recorded in the United States is transcribed in about 2.5 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour, with Polish detected automatically and English announcements handled in the same text. Four Sundays, 300 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes, and the first 20 minutes of your first upload are free.

For the media volunteer

The service is already recorded for the livestream. Turning it into text takes one more step.

From the stream you already run

If the parish streams to YouTube, paste the replay link: live replays work and nothing needs downloading. A recording from the sound desk or a phone in the choir loft uploads as a file; over 500 MB continues on the upload page.

Bilingual parishes

Many Polish parishes in the US add English notices or a bilingual homily for the second generation. Those passages stay in the same transcript; the service is detected on its main language.

The homily, ready to share

The brief gives the homily's central message and takeaways in a few lines, ready for the bulletin or the parish website, with the full text behind it for anyone who missed Sunday.

Hymns are skipped

Music is not transcribed; the spoken parts are. The organ and choir pass by, and the readings, homily and announcements come through as text with timestamps.

Why homilies get lost

Sunday's words reach the people in the pews. Everyone else gets a summary passed on by someone who half-remembers it.

✗ A recording no one opens

The video sits on the channel, an hour and a quarter long, and parishioners looking for one line about the parish festival never find it.

  • Homilies that vanish after Sunday
  • Notices nobody wrote down
  • Grandparents unable to watch a long video
  • Younger members who read better than they listen
  • Volunteers typing from the recording
  • English-only tools that miss Polish

✓ A searchable text each week

The replay link goes in after Mass; by lunch the homily, readings and notices are text with timestamps.

  • Polish detected, English kept
  • Readings, homily and notices as chapters
  • Speakers named in the summary
  • A short brief for the bulletin
  • Export to DOCX for printing
  • A full year on the $24 pack

Sample output

A Sunday Mass in Polish with an English notice at the end.

Illustrative lines written for this page; no real parish or priest is quoted. In English: God bless, welcome everyone to today's Holy Mass; the first reading from the Book of Genesis; today I would like to say a few words about gratitude; the meeting for parents of First Communion children is on Wednesday at seven; and an English notice about coffee in the hall.

FAQ

Polish church services, answered.

Do I have to tell it the service is in Polish?

No. Polish is detected automatically, and a service with English notices or a bilingual homily is detected on its main language, with the English kept in the same text.

Can I paste our YouTube livestream instead of uploading?

Yes. YouTube links, including live replays, need no download. Vimeo and Google Drive share links work the same way. A replay longer than 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account, which rarely applies to a Sunday Mass.

How long does a Mass take to transcribe?

About 2 minutes per audio hour: a 75-minute Mass in roughly 2.5 minutes, a 2.5-hour Easter Vigil in about 5.

What does a year of Sundays cost?

Fifty-two Masses of 75 minutes are 3,900 minutes; with a 150-minute Easter Vigil and a 90-minute midnight Mass at Christmas the year comes to 4,140 minutes, on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes with 860 left. Four Sundays fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes. First-time visitors get 20 minutes free, and the credits you buy have no expiry date. A Workspace at $19 a month exists for a team that records every week.

Are the people who spoke identified?

Speakers are identified and named in the summary, the key quotes and the chapters, so the brief shows where the priest preached and where a lector read. The transcript itself reads as continuous text.

Where do the recordings go?

Services are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training. You get TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON exports; the SRT can caption the replay video for parishioners who watch with the sound off.
