Transcribe a recording made in a conference hall every keynote and panel.
A conference hall recording, whether one keynote or a seven-hour day of sessions, comes back at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so the full day is ready in roughly 14 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, a single day in one room fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes, and a Google Drive folder of session files can be pasted as one link.
Sound in a big hall
The feed from the desk is clean. The questions from the floor are the weak spot.
Desk feed or camera mic
A recording taken from the mixing desk carries the stage microphones cleanly. A camera at the back of a 500-seat hall hears the PA bouncing off the walls, the air handling and the room. Both transcribe, and the desk feed is the one to send if the AV team has it.
Audience questions
A question asked into a roaming microphone comes through. A question shouted from row twelve often does not, and the panellist's repeat of it is what lands in the text. The brief lists the questions that were answered either way.
A folder of sessions, one link
If the AV team delivered a Google Drive folder with a file per session, paste the folder link and each recording comes in as its own transcript. Very large exports can also go through the upload page.
Two days, three rooms
Three rooms recording seven hours a day for two days is 42 hours, or 2,520 minutes. That passes the $12 pack, so the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes covers the whole event and keeps 2,480 minutes for next year.
What happens after the event
Hours of session video, and a request for quotes by Friday.
✗ Working from the video alone
The organisers want highlights and every speaker wants their talk written up, from files nobody has time to watch.
- Scrubbing hours of footage for a quote
- Session files too big to email
- Tools that stop at an hour
- Applause and walk-in music in the captions
- No list of who spoke when
- A monthly seat for one event
✓ Working from the text
Every session comes back with chapters, speakers named in the brief and quotes with times.
- Roughly 2 minutes for each audio hour
- A Drive folder in one paste
- Panellists named in quotes and chapters
- Questions from the floor listed
- $24 for 5,000 minutes for a multi-room event
- Captions per session in SRT or VTT

FAQ
Conference hall recordings, answered.
How long does a day of sessions take?
Processing runs near 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 45-minute keynote is back in about 90 seconds and a seven-hour day in roughly 14 minutes. Public runs on /proof/long-files show 4.94 hours finishing in 372 seconds.
What does a whole conference cost?
New visitors get the first 20 minutes free. One room for one seven-hour day is 420 minutes, inside the $6 pack of 500. A multi-room event of 42 hours needs 2,520 minutes, so the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes is the fit.
Can I paste a Drive folder?
Yes. A Google Drive folder link brings in every recording in it, each as its own transcript. Single share links, YouTube, Vimeo and podcast feeds work too.
How big can one session file be?
Up to 10 hours or 5 GB, whichever comes first. Until a pack is bought, the upload limit is 2 GB; bigger session files start once one is on the account. A day longer than 10 hours goes in as two files.
Which languages and accents work?
99 languages, detected automatically. A session is detected on its main language, so an English keynote with one Spanish anecdote reads as English, and an all-Spanish panel reads as Spanish.
What do we download, and is the footage private?
TXT and DOCX for write-ups, SRT and VTT for captions on the posted videos, JSON for the event site. Session footage is handled privately: recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
