Your first transcript is free at any length — no card, no account to start. Your second is $0.99, once per email address. After that, minutes come in one-time packs: $8 for 1,000 minutes, $12 for 2,000, $24 for 5,000. Each pack is a single charge.
Minutes wait for you
Minutes do not expire. Record ten interviews in March, buy a pack, then touch nothing until September — the balance is exactly where you left it. No month passes in which you are billed for work you did not do, and no balance is taken back for going quiet.
Nothing is held back at the low end
Every transcript carries the same things: a summary, the takeaways, key quotes with the timestamp each one sits at, chapters, and a chat over the transcript. Exports are TXT, SRT, VTT, DOCX and JSON. One file can run to 5 GB or 12 hours, in any of 99 languages, detected automatically.
The one subscription, and when to skip it
There is a Workspace plan at $19/month for unlimited transcription on the web app. It is the right buy for someone transcribing constantly, week after week. If your recording comes in bursts, it is the wrong buy — pay for minutes when you have audio and pay nothing in the months you do not.

Do my minutes expire?
No. Minutes stay in your account until you spend them, with no expiry date and no monthly reset. A pack bought today is still there after a year of not using it.
Do I need an account or a card to start?
No. Your first transcript is free at any length with no card and no account required to start. You only reach a payment step if you want a second transcript, which is $0.99, or a pack of minutes after that.
Is there a subscription I have to buy?
No. Nothing recurring is required to use the product. One subscription exists — Workspace at $19/month for unlimited transcription on the web app — but it is optional, and the free transcript, the $0.99 second one and the minute packs all work without it.
When is the $19/month Workspace plan actually worth it?
Only when you transcribe constantly. If audio arrives most weeks and keeps arriving, unlimited transcription on the web app is the cheaper shape. If you record in bursts — a stretch of interviews, then months of nothing — buy minutes instead and pay nothing in the quiet months.
What do the packs cost?
$8 for 1,000 minutes, $12 for 2,000 minutes, and $24 for 5,000 minutes. Each is a one-time charge, not a plan, and nothing renews afterwards. You can buy another pack whenever you run low.
Do I get less at the cheaper end?
No. Every transcript comes with the summary, the takeaways, key quotes with their timestamps, chapters and a chat over the transcript, and exports to TXT, SRT, VTT, DOCX and JSON. There is no format or feature held back for a higher tier.
What happens if I stop using it for six months?
Nothing. No charge arrives while you are away, because nothing is on a renewal schedule, and there is no plan to cancel. Your minutes and your transcripts are where you left them when you come back.
How long can one recording be?
One file can be up to 5 GB and up to 12 hours. Anything longer than the engine takes in one piece is split before processing, and you do not split anything yourself. Transcripts come back as one document either way.
How long does a transcript take?
Usually about two minutes of wall clock per hour of audio, so a three-hour interview is normally done in well under ten minutes. That is a measured average across real jobs rather than a guarantee — very long or very noisy recordings can take longer.
What happens to my audio after the job?
Your transcripts sit in a searchable Library you can come back to, and you can delete anything you no longer want. Recordings and transcripts are never used to train AI.
