What it is

Google Translate's Conversation tab is the consumer-default live-translation experience — every Android ships with it preinstalled. Distinct from the broader text-translation surface.

Best for: Solo traveler having a 1:1 conversation with a stranger — phone on the table, taps language, talks.
Watch out for: Conversation mode limited to 70 language pairs (vendor count). Noisy-environment recognition still weak. Privacy: audio is processed in Google's cloud.
