What it is
Fin is Intercom's generative-AI customer-support agent. It reads the customer's question, consults the company's knowledge base, and produces an answer in the company's tone — resolving a meaningful share of conversations before a human ever sees the ticket. Fin Voice (added 2024) extends the same agent to phone conversations with full transcription and summary on every voice interaction. Pricing is unusual — $0.99 per resolved conversation on top of base Intercom seats — which aligns vendor incentives with deflection outcomes.
