Trint
Trint is a London-based transcription and collaborative editing SaaS aimed at newsrooms, production companies, and enterprise media teams that need multi-user editing on top of the transcript.
Trint pairs automatic transcription in 50+ languages with a browser-based collaborative editor where multiple reporters can cut, highlight, and assemble rough cuts from the same audio or video. Around it sits an AI Assistant for summaries, quote extraction, and speaker analysis, plus integrations with newsroom systems (AP ENPS, Mimir, Octopus, Saga), MAMs, Zoom and LiveU for live capture, and Adobe Premiere for handoff. Live transcription auto-detects language; translation covers 70+ languages for captions and global publishing.
Best for newsrooms, sports and broadcast production, podcast teams, and content marketing groups that need shared workspaces, admin controls, and an audit trail across many reporters. Pricing is not published on the public site — plans gate behind app.trint.com/plans and enterprise is sales-led, with ISO 27001 / Cyber Essentials certifications, EU or US data residency, and GDPR-aligned retention controls.

XML for Premiere, MP4 export
Turns long interview or meeting transcripts into customizable summaries, surfaces key quotes, identifies speakers, and pulls out themes. Pairs with the human editor so reporters can verify the AI output before publishing.

Getting started in 3 steps
Trint is a hosted product — there is no SDK install. The flow below covers signup, your first collaborative edit, and turning the transcript into a rough cut for export.
Create an account at trint.com and upload an audio or video file from your desktop or a cloud drive (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box). Trint detects the language automatically and returns a searchable transcript with word-level timestamps.
1. Visit trint.com and click Sign up.
2. Pick a plan from app.trint.com/plans or start a trial.
3. Drag an mp3, mp4, wav, or m4a file into the dashboard.
4. Wait for the transcript to finish (a few minutes for a typical interview).
5. Open the transcript in the editor.
Invite team members from the admin dashboard and assign folder-level permissions. Multiple reporters can highlight, comment, and correct the same transcript in real time, with speakers re-labelled in one place.
1. Open Team settings in the admin dashboard.
2. Invite reporters and editors by email; assign roles.
3. Move the file into a shared folder with the right access level.
4. Co-edit: highlight quotes, leave comments, correct speaker labels.
5. Use the AI Assistant to draft a summary or pull key quotes for review.
Drag highlights from the transcript into a rough cut sequence, then export to Adobe Premiere via XML or render MP4 with burned-in captions. Translate the transcript into a target language before captioning for international audiences.
1. In the editor, highlight the segments you want to use.
2. Drag them into the rough cut panel and reorder.
3. (Optional) Translate the transcript into a target language.
4. Open the Caption Editor and adjust subtitle timing.
5. Export: XML for Premiere, MP4 with burned-in captions, or plain text or SRT.
