Your Zoom archive in Drive, transcribed without a re-download.
Import the Drive folder where you keep Zoom MP4 and M4A files: each recording streams from Drive to our transcriber and comes back as a timestamped transcript with a brief and chapters, filed in a Library folder of the same name.

Quick answers
The five questions people ask before the first upload.
- What does WhipScribe do for Zoom recording recordings?
- Import the Drive folder where you keep Zoom MP4 and M4A files: each recording streams from Drive to our transcriber and comes back as a timestamped transcript with a brief and chapters, filed in a Library folder of the same name.
- How much does it cost?
- The summary of any recording is free to read; a pack from $6 (500 minutes) opens the full transcript. Credit packs: $6 = 500 min · $8 = 1,000 min · $12 = 2,000 min · $24 = 5,000 min; credits never expire and there is no seat fee. Workspace is $19 a month for unlimited transcription (300-hour fair-use mark; 100 GB of storage included, then $3 per extra 100 GB a month).
- How long does a transcript take?
- A one-hour recording is usually ready in about two minutes; most files finish in under a minute. Files up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file.
- Is it private?
- Yes. Transcribed on our own servers; audio is never sent to a third-party AI service. Never used to train, fine-tune or evaluate any model. Delete a recording and its transcript at any time; account deletion removes every record tied to the email.
- Which languages and files does it accept?
- 99+ languages, detected automatically; the transcript stays in the recording's language. Input: any audio or video file (MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, WEBM, MOV, GSM and more), a YouTube, podcast, RSS, Google Drive, Twitch or Kick link, or a microphone recording. Export: TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT, JSON.

What matters when transcribing Zoom recording recordings?
Skip the duplicate audio track
Zoom saves a meeting as an MP4 and often an audio-only M4A as well. Both are audio or video, so a whole-folder import brings in both and transcribes the meeting twice. If your archive has both, open each meeting folder and tick only the M4A or only the MP4. Zoom's chat and transcript text files are skipped.
One folder per meeting, kept
Zoom-to-Drive archives are usually one folder per meeting. Subfolders are included by default and keep their structure in the Library, so each meeting's transcript sits under the same folder name it has in Drive.
A brief before you press play
Every call opens on a brief with chapters that jump the audio, the key quotes with their timestamps, and the names, numbers and dates that were said. Speakers are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters.
Send results to the channel
With API access (the 5,000-minute pack or Workspace), a poller can post each call's summary to a Slack channel as it finishes. Teams that later want Zoom recordings to skip Drive entirely can send them from Zoom to the API directly.
How it works
How do I transcribe a Zoom recording recording?
Connect Google Drive
In the Library, Add content → Google Drive. Google asks you to allow read-only access to your Drive.
Pick files or folders
Tick single files or whole folders, subfolders included. Run it again later and the files already done are skipped.
Read, then send it back
Each file gets a transcript and the Intelligence brief. Save to Drive writes TXT and SRT into a new Drive folder.

- Homepage copy is approved at 06:20 with one change to the headline.
- Launch moves from 2 September to 16 September at 21:45 so the pricing page can ship with it.
- The client sends analytics access by Thursday, agreed at 41:10.

Questions
What else do people ask about Zoom recording transcription?
Can I paste a Drive link to the recording instead of connecting?
Yes, for one file shared as Anyone with the link: paste it straight into the box, no connection needed. Folder links do not work that way, and a private file fails with a message that says nothing was charged and links to the help pages. For a whole archive, connect Drive in the Library.
Does it pick up new Zoom recordings as they land in Drive?
No. The import runs once; watching a Drive folder is not available yet. Run the import again and recordings already done are skipped, or build a Zapier, Make or n8n flow with a new-file trigger that sends each one to the API.
How do I get captions for the saved calls?
Each recording downloads as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. From the Library folder's ⋯ menu, Export to Google Drive… writes a new Drive folder with a TXT and an SRT for every finished recording.
