Subsplash · public media links and podcast feeds

Transcribe a Subsplash sermon to text.

A sermon published through Subsplash has a public media page in your church's library, and that link can be pasted here as it is. The audio is fetched, and the transcript comes back with chapters, quotes and caption files for the sermon video.

The file you have

How Subsplash publishes a sermon.

Media page
Each media item has a public page, subsplash.com/<church>/media/mi/+<id> or a /media/d/ address, which plays in any browser.
Audio
When a church uploads a video, Subsplash's encoder also makes an MP3 so the sermon can be heard in the app and the podcast.
Podcast
Sermon media can be published to a podcast feed from the same upload.
Exports
The Subsplash dashboard exports media metadata as a CSV, which is handy as a list of what to transcribe; it is not a download of the files.

Sometimes a link works. A public Subsplash media page can be pasted in the box and the audio is fetched for you; we checked one on 11 October 2026. A podcast feed works too, for the newest episode. Anything private or unpublished has to be uploaded as a file.

How it works

Three steps, the first one is the only one that takes any thought.

1

Copy the media link

Open the sermon in your church's Subsplash media library or web player and copy the page address.

2

Paste it

Paste the link in the box above; the audio is fetched for you. If you have the original file, uploading it works as well.

3

Read, then export

The summary and a preview are free. A pack opens the full transcript with TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON exports.

Good to know

What trips people up, and what to do about it.

Example. A 28-minute teaching video on a public Subsplash media page was pasted as a link: the video was found and read without downloading anything first. The transcript comes back with chapters, quotes with their times and an SRT for the same video.

What comes back

More than a wall of text.

The same four things for every Subsplash recording, whatever its length.

A transcript with timestamps

Every line carries its time. Click a line to hear that second again, or search a name or phrase and jump to each place it was said.

A summary, chapters and key quotes

A brief with the takeaways, chapters with their start times, and the quotes worth keeping. Speakers are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters.

Questions answered from the recording

Ask where a topic came up or what was decided, and get the answer with the time it was said, instead of scrolling the whole text.

Every export

TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT, JSON from the same transcript: a document to edit, caption files for video, plain text to paste, structured data for your own tools.

Pricing

Free preview. Packs from $6, and the minutes never expire.

A 40-minute sermon is 40 minutes, so the $6 pack (500 minutes) covers it 12 times over. Every recording gets a free preview and a summary you can read before paying; a pack opens the full transcript and every export. Packs are one-time purchases with no subscription and no seat fee.

Pick a pack to open secure checkout. Workspace is $19 a month for unlimited transcription (300-hour fair-use mark). Full pricing

What we measured, last 30 days

2,547 recordings, 1,244 audio hours, 66 languages detected. An hour of audio came back in 3.5 minutes for half of the recordings and within 18.0 minutes for nine in ten, measured from the moment the file landed to the finished transcript. Refreshed 2026-10-07; method on how we test.

FAQ

Subsplash to text, answered.

How do I transcribe a sermon from Subsplash?

Copy the address of the sermon's public media page and paste it in the box on this page. The audio is fetched and the transcript comes back with timestamps, chapters and a summary.

Can I paste a Subsplash link, or do I have to download?

A public media page can be pasted as it is. Media that is unpublished or needs a sign-in has to be uploaded as a file.

Can I transcribe a whole Subsplash series?

Yes, one item at a time: paste the page of each sermon. A series or library link is a list, which is not transcribed in one go.

Will the captions line up with our Subsplash video?

Yes. The SRT and VTT are timed to the media you transcribed, so they line up with the same video.

What does transcribing Subsplash recordings cost?

The preview and the summary are free. A pack opens the full transcript: $6 for 500 minutes, $8 for 1,000 minutes, $12 for 2,000 minutes, $24 for 5,000 minutes. Packs are one-time, credits never expire, and Workspace is $19 a month if you transcribe every week.

How long can the recording be?

One file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB. The box on this page takes files up to 500 MB; a larger file continues on the main upload page, which uploads it in parts. Most recordings come back in about two minutes per hour of audio.

Is the recording kept private?

Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. You can delete a recording and its transcript at any time.
