Transcription for a small business: the whole office on one plan.
$19 a month covers you and up to 4 team members: their own logins, your own work private. Their work in your Library, or private to each of them. You choose. No seat fee.
$19 a month for up to five people · 300-hour fair-use mark, pooled · ~2 min per hour of audio · 99+ languages · private, never used for training
A small business does not need a transcription company; it needs the Tuesday client call, the supplier meeting and the voice note from the van turned into text someone can search, by whoever happened to record it. Most tools price that per seat, so the office manager and the bookkeeper never get a login and the recordings pile up on one phone. One Workspace plan at $19 a month covers the owner and up to 4 people in the business, each with their own login, and every transcript they make lands in the owner's Library.
Built for small business
What matters when a small business shares one plan?
Whoever recorded it, uploads it
The office manager uploads the client call from their own login, the bookkeeper the supplier meeting, the owner the site visit from a phone. Each transcript comes back with a brief, chapters, the names, numbers and dates that were said, and the questions it answers.
The owner reads it all in one place
By default every member's transcript appears in the owner's Library with a small by chip and a Made by filter (the owner can set members' work to private instead), so the owner can read one person's work or search across everything the business has recorded. Members see only their own.
Priced like a utility, not a seat
$19 a month for up to five people, with a fair-use mark of 300 hours of audio per billing period pooled across the plan. A business that records less than that in a month can run on credit packs instead: $4 for 300 minutes, $18 for 3,000 minutes and $32 for 6,000, bought once, never expiring, on one account.
Private by default
Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Any recording can be deleted at any time from its page by the person who made it.
How it works
How do I add my team to the plan?
Start Workspace
Subscribe from the Teams page or pricing, $19 a month. The plan is on your account the moment payment clears.
Open your Credits page
Sign in and open Credits. Under your plan is the Team card with your seats: Seats 0 of 4 on a new plan.
Add an email
Type a team member's email in the Team card and press Add. Use the address they sign in with. Up to 4; Remove anyone later from the same card.
They sign in and transcribe
The member signs in at whipscribe.com with that email, uploads or records as usual, and everything they make runs on your plan. It appears in your Library with a by chip, unless you have set members' work to private in the same card.
Step by step, with what the Team card says when an email cannot be added: how to share a Workspace plan with your team.

Questions
What people ask before putting a team on one plan.
Is WhipScribe a transcription company or software?
Software: you upload a recording or paste a link and read the transcript in about two minutes, with a brief and chapters. No human types it, which is why a small business pays $19 a month for the whole team instead of a per-minute rate. For a certified or court-ready transcript, pay a human service; our directory of human services and their published rates is linked below.
How many people in the business can use one plan?
five: the owner who pays and up to 4 team members, each signing in with their own email. There is no per-seat fee.
Can my staff see each other's recordings?
No. A member sees only their own transcripts. By default the owner sees everything, each transcript marked with who made it; the owner can set members' work to private to each of them instead. The owner's own recordings are never shown to members.
What does a small business pay in a month?
$19 a month, on the owner's card, however many of the five people used it. Storage of 100 GB is included, then $3 per extra 100 GB a month. Credits anyone already bought stay on their own account, untouched.
Can a part-timer or contractor be a team member?
Yes, any email the owner adds in the Team card. When they leave, Remove them on the Credits page: they stop transcribing on the plan at once, whatever of theirs is in the owner's Library stays there, and the seat frees up for someone else after 30 days.
