한국어 · SRT·VTT 자막

Korean 자막 files, cued and downloadable.

Send in the video or a link and take Korean SRT and VTT files with cues built from word-level timings. Korean speech returns Korean cue text in hangul. For the transcript alone, see the Korean transcript page. Your opening recording up to 3 hours is free; 1,000 minutes run $8 after that.

Hangul in UTF-8 Word-level cue timings SRT and VTT together 5 GB per upload

Three steps

Getting a Korean caption track.

Browser only, no timecodes typed by hand.

1

Give it the recording

Video or audio file, or a link. Anything larger than the box continues on the upload page, up to 10 hours or 5 GB.

2

Go through the cue text

Word-level timings make jumping around fast. Company names and loanword spellings are the ones to correct before export.

3

Take SRT or VTT

SRT for editors and platform uploads, VTT for browser players, plus TXT, DOCX, JSON and MD.

Captioning Korean

Spacing rules and syllable blocks.

Korean does put spaces between phrases, but the rules are their own thing: 띄어쓰기 governs where a space belongs, and the boundary generally falls between a noun phrase with its attached particle and the next unit. That matters for captions because the spaces determine where a renderer may wrap. A caption split at the wrong space separates a noun from the particle that tells the reader its role, which is jarring even when the timing is right.

Hangul is built in syllable blocks, each of which occupies one full-width slot however many letters it contains. Line-length budgets therefore look nothing like Latin-script ones; Korean caption practice tends to sit near sixteen characters a line over two lines. Honorific verb endings stretch a sentence noticeably — the polite forms add syllables at the end of every clause — so formal speech needs more cues than casual speech for the same minute.

The SRT and VTT downloads are cue text and timings, with no name attached to any line. Voices are separated in the transcript view, and the JSON export from the same job carries that separation for downstream use.

Delivery

Where Korean captions are used.

One export, then a platform, an editor or a player.

YouTube

Upload the SRT as the Korean track in Studio. A file you have reviewed beats automatic captions on names and loanwords.

Short-form video

Text is burned into the frame here. Import the SRT into your editor and set the line width for hangul blocks, not Latin characters.

Premiere and Resolve

SRT arrives as a caption track with the timings intact, ready for styling in a Premiere project.

Web and course players

VTT is the HTML5 track format. If the video is already online, generate from its link.

FAQ

Korean subtitles, answered.

Which language do I get in the caption file?

Korean, in hangul. The cue text follows the spoken language, and it is never converted into a different language.

Where should a Korean caption line break?

At a phrase boundary, keeping a noun and its particle together. Breaking between them separates the word from the marker that gives it its role.

How long should a Korean caption line be?

Korean practice tends to sit around sixteen characters a line over two lines, because each hangul block takes a full-width slot.

Why do formal recordings need more cues?

Honorific endings add syllables to the close of every clause, so polite speech occupies more line space than casual speech for the same duration.

Are loanwords written in Latin letters?

No, they appear in hangul as the speaker pronounced them, which is how a Korean viewer expects to read them.

Does the downloaded caption file name speakers?

It does not. SRT and VTT hold cue text and timings; speaker separation appears in the transcript view and in the JSON export.
